Coyotes are a wild animal that few years ago, lived in the wild only. Over the past few years, the species have strangled into the human society and are widely populated all over. However, the more they increase in number, the more reduction in the supply and nourishment sources will happen. They are now chasing neighborhoods that few years ago were only found wandering in the woods and open fields. If a pet is missing, you might be enlightened towards coyote tracks that will leave you to think that the coyotes did the job of taking away your beloved pet from you. Let’s have a look on ways to keep coyotes away from your property.
High Fencing Seldom works
As easy as it seems, it is much effective too. Most homeowners are found to be following the same path in their quest to avoid coyotes. The high fencing method is used for almost all such animals that wander around your property. You will not only have coyotes, but foxes might as well be present, hence the fencing. Coyotes will basically be attracted towards trash jars or feathered animals or pet. If you do own a pet and it roams around freely, you might want to stop making it do that or go for the fencing. However, you have to still make sure that you don’t show them any attractions inside the fence that they’d want to hunt for or they will come in numbers and make your life a misery. Fencing might give a bad impression on neighbors but you have to be prepared of the consequences in coyote’s case.
Scary or Humanely Sounds
Coyotes like to make different sounds and they are quite loud especially during the night. If they are present in an area in numbers, you have to bear with your family the sounds and voices that they are going to make throughout the entire night. What you can do is place an automated air horn that blows whenever they get together and start making voices, when it blows, will scare them off and they might vanish away. Also, human speaking sounds on repeat with speakers installed on low volume near vulnerable areas will also make them go away.
